NBA To Return To London For First Time Since 2019

After a six-year hiatus, the NBA is set to return to London with a match in 2026.

It has now been revealed that the O2 Arena will host a regular-season game between the Memphis Grizzlies and Orlando Magic on Sunday 18th January 2026.

London’s O2 Arena had previously hosted yearly matches for eight years, before going on a hiatus in 2019. The last game to take place in the UK was six years ago when the Washington Wizards beat the New York Knicks.

In addition to the London game, it has also been confirmed Manchester will host its first ever regular-season game in 2027. The teams involved in that match will be revealed at a later date.

Speaking on the NBA’s return to the capital, the Mayor of London, Sir Sadiq Khan, said: “London is now the undisputed sporting capital of the world and the NBA coming to The O2 in January 2026 will further cement our global status.”
